My first entry hmmm. I want to use this blog to share photos, get feedback and ulimately see how I am doing (in other peoples eyes). I took this picture with my Canon rebel XT. My wife bought it for me after plenty of begging(jk). I use photo shop sometimes for cropping, filtering and color manipulation. I wish I knew how to do more but the software is not very user friendly if you have no clue where to start. Drop me a note with your comments or even links to your photographs.I enjoy scenic photography, although I am always trying new things or imitating effects I see elsewhere. I will post new photos daily... hopefully. Check back if you like how I see it.

Palak, thanks. It is amazing how you can take a nice photograph and through a little cropping and filtering it becomes fantastic. Cropping is one of the easiest and fastest ways to dramatically change a photo, and under used. (in my opinion)
For so long I thought that manipulating my photos was "cheating". I thought that I hadn't captured the image well enough the first time. I was wrong. We have tools available to us that photographers in the past didn't. Photography is art, I like my art as beautiful as possible.
This picture is amazing. I love it! A viewing audience from all over the country (and even world) can relate to it - no matter where the picture was taken. Very impressive. Keep up the great work!
